Act I – The Proposal

After taking enough grief for not being a thoughtful planner, Kyle decided that he would pull out all of the stops on his proposal to Stephani. Since the two were living in separate cities, Kyle was able to carry out his three part surprise.

Stephani believed that Kyle would be at his friend’s bachelor party all weekend. However, after a day of surfing and poker he went to pick up the engagement ring and flowers with Dad. Sunday, September 20th, 2009 he rang Stephani’s doorbell to surprise her with a dinner date.

“What are you doing here?” she asked astonished and flustered.

“I’m here to take you on a dinner date” Kyle replied coyly.

Their date was scheduled on the helicopter pad of the Wachovia building in West Los Angeles, where Kyle had dinner and dancing planned. After the two had poured some champagne and taken pictures of the view, Kyle got down on one knee and proposed. For the first time ever, Stephani lost her appetite.

After enjoying the view, the two drove home. However, what Stephani didn’t know was that both sets of parents were already waiting at Stephani's to surprise her and celebrate the occasion. It was a night to remember.
